my life as a artist

a picture is worth 135 words

Wednesday 11th March 2009 10:42 PM

From 6pm on Friday 27th March to 5pm Sunday 29th March I will be exhibiting my oeuoeuoeuvres at Bootham School as part of York Open Studios 2009. Bootham School itself is an imaginary place that only exists when you're actually in it, but luckily there's a stargate portal at the bottom of Portland Street, off Gillygate. Due to its close proximity to Whackers, it's the only stargate portal on the planet that smells of fish and chips.

The pictured picture you see above is called 'Clifford's Saucers'. It's a bit busy for my liking but I have to go with my muse, who obviously likes that sort of thing. I'll be showing some of Damien Shirt's work as well and will be present in the flesh to deal with all inquiries, philosophical, financial or otherwise

Have you ever considered creating an ebook or guest authoring on other sites? I have a blog based upon on the same subjects you discuss and would really like to have you share some stories/information. I know my audience would enjoy your work. If you're even remotely interested, feel free to send me an e-mail.

Hey! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I'm thinking about making my own but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it

My programmer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on numerous websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard excellent things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress posts into it? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

When I originally commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? Many thanks!

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!

This design is steller! You most certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost...HaHa!) Wonderful job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?

Fantastic blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers? I'm hoping to start my own site soon but I'm a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I'm completely confused .. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Do you mind if I quote a few of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your webpage? My website is in the exact same niche as yours and my users would genuinely benefit from some of the information you present here. Please let me know if this ok with you. Many thanks!

I'm really loving the theme/design of your website. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues? A small number of my blog audience have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any advice to help fix this problem?

Hi! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could get a captcha plugin for my comment form? I'm using the same blog platform as yours and I'm having problems finding one? Thanks a lot!
