alarming frequency

Steve comments; 'Is it just me or is 'inter-species erotica' cropping up alarmingly often in this blog?' Well, Steve, I'm not sure what level of frequency constitutes alarming, but it is true to say that I've noticed it as a recurrent theme myself. However, before you rush to judgement, you'd really have to meet Molly the Shetland pony for yourself. As far as I'm concerned it's a matter of appropriateness.
I've often heard certain motor cars referred to as sexy, an Aston Martin for instance, or an e-type Jaguar, and their sinuous, muscled lines are certainly cat-like, and, of course, cats are sexy. (How do you titillate an ocelot? Oscillate its tit a lot.)
However, it's one thing admitting to finding an erotic quality in a motor car or a cat, but it's another thing completely to having sex with them. As far as I'm concerned, having sex with luxury cars, even a sympathy shag with an Austin Maxi, or cats, is inappropriate.
The only time I've been tempted to engage in inter-species erotica, was as a fifteen year old, on holiday in Greece, when I made a few unsuccessful attempts at having sex with fish. I found that every time you tried to mount them, they'd just dart off.
I've got vague memories of an early spring blog, where, excited by a flash of frilly new growth, I may have expressed interest in having sexual relations with one of the potted herbs, at the front of the caravan. However, as Bob Flowerdew once said wisely, on Gardeners Question Time, 'Sex with plants is fraught with issues of consent.'
I don't know if this blog has put your mind at rest, Steve, or that of the R.S.P.C.A's, but it has mine. Sometimes it's good to blog.
